MANGO, the Spanish fashion brand with the greatest international influence, presents Kate Moss as the protagonist of its new Spring/Summer 2012 campaign in its London flagship. The company has chosen the British supermodel as the face of its campaign because, in addition to embodying the ideal of the urban, independent and fearless woman that MANGO loves to dress, she is a benchmark in the fashion world.

Kate Moss posed with the brand’s new creations before the lens of renowned photographer Terry Richardson in a London home. The famous artist immortalized the beauty of this fashion icon, who looked radiant and natural during the shoot. The supermodel declared: “I’m delighted to be collaborating with MANGO for the Spring/Summer 2012 season. We had a great time shooting the campaign and working with their team was a real pleasure. What’s more, Terry’s shoots are always fun. Styling was the work of Géraldine Saglio, while Charlotte Tilbury and Odile Gilbert took charge of make-up and hair, respectively.

MANGO has produced a new TV spot with the supermodel for this season, entitled Spy Game. Shot under the direction of photographer Terry Richardson in mid-December in London, the film will be broadcast in early March in some 40 countries, including Germany, Spain, France, Mexico, Portugal, the UK, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.

With this collaboration, Kate Moss takes over from her female predecessor, Isabeli Fontana, who was the firm’s muse for this past Fall/Winter 2011 season. Since its inception, MANGO has relied on well-known faces to star in its advertising campaigns. Models and actresses of the calibre of Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Milla Jovovich, Lizzy Jagger, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Inés Sastre, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Diane Kruger have also been muses for the brand in their time.

This season, the brand focuses on a graphic contrast between clean, unstructured lines. In contrast to this fluidity and clean lines, we find a clear 60s influence, particularly in the dresses. Light, pleated and gathered fabrics give movement and shape a fresh, feminine new proposition for this season. In contrast to these clean lines, we are introducing a more casual line in which we bring together artisanal elements from different ethnic groups, mixing them with sportswear embellishments to create a very simple, urban look. Dye china, abstract patterns and patchwork in indigo and yellow with faded effects.
