Juliette Greco creates the event in 2012

Literature, stage, record, documentary… At 84, the former Saint-Germain des Près star will be omnipresent at the start of 2012.
On January 11, Juliette Gréco published “Je suis faite comme ça” (I’m made like that), an autobiography in which she reflects on her life and career. At nearly 85, Juliette Gréco has decided to look back on her incredible destiny. The book echoes her first album, “Je suis comme je suis”, recorded in 1951. She reveals some of her darkest moments, including her suicide attempt. The book is also a journey through the beautiful post-war years in Saint Germain des Prés. She has lived so many lives, known so many eras and legendary artists, from Miles Davis to Boris Vian, Serge Gainsbourg to Léo Ferré. It’s the history of the Music Hall.
On January 23, Juliette Gréco releases a new studio album, “Ca se traverse et c’est beau…” on the prestigious classical label Deutsche Grammophon. This new CD is dedicated to the bridges of Paris. Juliette Gréco called on writers from different worlds: François Morel, Amélie Nothomb, Philippe Sollers, Jean-Claude Carrière, Marie Nimier, Marc Lavoine, Gil Goldstein, Christian Escoudé, Gérard Duguet-Grasser, and, as always, her accompanist and husband Gérard Jouannest. She also penned a song. Marc Lavoine, Melody Gardot and rapper-singer Féfé join Juliette Gréco on this album for three remarkable duets. The duet with Fefe is a clash of cultures and generations. Another guest, actor Guillaume Gallienne, performs a moving text.
On February 5, Arte is devoting a special evening to the artist with an exceptional documentary “Juliette Gréco, l’insoumise”, retracing her life, to be broadcast at 8.40pm. In it, we discover a Juliette Gréco who is funny, relevant and incisive. She also recounts her loves and passions (Milles Davis, Michel Piccoli). A totally romantic life. Then at 9:50pm, the 2004 concert at the Olympia will be broadcast.
Finally, at nearly 85 years of age (February 7, 2012 to be exact), and with a career spanning over sixty years, Juliette Gréco will perform at the famous Parisian theater Le Châtelet on three consecutive nights, February 6, 7 and 8.
In short, Juliette Gréco makes a mockery of the passing years, and more fit than ever, she seduces us with her words and her grace.
