A new edition of the Hennessy Prize for Literary Journalism

The prize, created in 1990, is awarded annually to a specialist journalist for a series of articles published in the French-language press. The jury’s aim is to reward an author who has succeeded in producing writings whose accuracy of analysis and quality of writing have succeeded in arousing the reader’s curiosity in different areas of literature, such as fiction, essays or documents.
Jas Hennessy & Co, which has always been strongly involved in artistic and cultural activities, is endowing this Hennessy prize for literary journalism with €7,000. This year’s Jury will include Mazarine Pingeot, Honorary President of the 2011/2012 edition, writer and philosophy professor at Paris VIII University, and Yves Harté, Jury President and deputy editor of Sud-Ouest.
The winner will be chosen and the prize awarded in Paris during the Salon du Livre in March 2012.
