Tom Parker Bowles launches Fabergé egg hunt
The journalist and culinary author has launched a charity event with the Fabergé jeweler. An extraordinary luxury egg hunt, the countdown to which was launched by Tom Parker Bowles a few days ago at a very select breakfast at the Goring Hotel in London.
This first-ever egg hunt will take place in London over the Easter period. Dubbed the “Fabergé Big Egg Hunt”, the aim is to raise three million euros for the charities Action For Children and Elephant Family, dedicated respectively to disadvantaged children and endangered Asian elephants. The second aim of the hunt is to be included in the Guinness record for the world’s largest egg hunt.
The eggs, destined to become collector’s items, will be decorated for the occasion by the Chapman brothers, Vivienne Westwood, Giles Deacon, Zandra Rhodes, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rob Ryan, Bompas and Parr and Polly Morgan.
The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt will feature 200 special eggs, strategically hidden around central London.
from Shrove Tuesday (February 21, 2012) to April 8.
