Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announces the upcoming launch of the Samsung Wave 3. A veritable distillation of
‘s expertise in innovation, this smartphone benefits from the new functionalities brought about by bada 2.0, including an all-new interface and ingenious associated services. Optimizations include multitasking, Wi-Fi Direct, optional Near Field Communication (NFC) and voice recognition. With bada 2.0, Flash and HTML 5 are also supported.
The Wave 3 is the first smartphone to feature “Ch@tON”, Samsung’s mobile instant messaging service. It enables users to interact with friends and family, regardless of their phone brand or OS. In fact, Ch@tON is compatible with most platforms available on the market (bada, android, proprietary OS…) to enable everyone to instantly exchange text, images, videos, contacts, calendar or group chats. It’s also easy to share multimedia content and chat from PC to mobile and vice versa. Users will be able to enjoy the benefits of Ch@tON anywhere in the world (soon available in over 120 countries and 62 languages) to communicate with loved ones wherever they are.
The Wave 3 is also equipped with Samsung’s unified messaging solution, Social HubTM , which brings together all the user’s accounts (address book, social networks, instant messaging and e-mail) in a single presentation on a single page, so they can stay connected at all times. And to optimize message typing, Samsung’s T9 Trace feature lets you write e-mails, text messages… much more quickly and easily than with ordinary typing; simply slide your finger from one key to another and the handset intelligently determines the word spelled.
Samsung ecosystem
For unlimited personalization, the Samsung Wave 3 integrates the Samsung Apps application store, giving access to a wide range of useful and entertaining content and services. This store is enjoying growing success, with an application downloaded every second in France, i.e. over 25 million bada applications downloaded since the launch of the Wave range in June 2010.
Samsung Apps offers a multitude of games, navigation tools, e-books, community, sports, professional, health and leisure applications, to meet every need or desire.
To this can be added the Samsung Dive solution, enabling remote management and control of your mobile in the event of loss or theft from a PC via your Samsung Dive account (www.samsungdive.com).
