Lots of news at Issey Miyake, starting with a new team of designers and the name change to Issey Miyake Men.
The theme of this collection is Blue in all its forms. The aim is to give the garment a new use while focusing on comfort. A useful, modern garment that is a way of asserting one’s personality.
Blue is a rich color with an ancient history, encompassing every nuance from dark night to blue sky, from sea to stone.
This collection pays homage to clouds, the sea and its infinite horizon, the sky, the vibrations of the waves and the movements of the sky.
Materials: linen dyed using the traditional ITAJIME method. Jackets and pants are multi-layered cotton.
The blue contrasts with the yellow of the sun and the sand.
