When L’Eclaireur, founded in 1980 by the Hadida couple and now a benchmark of Parisian good taste, meets the most Parisian of palaces, the result is an explosion of creativity, design and fashion to great effect.
Le Royal Monceau is a project that makes a dream come true: to create a different kind of place, nourished by its history, its vibrations and Paris, a sentimental space woven of encounters, sensations and emotions, inhabited by the French spirit, traversed by a culture, and dedicated to true elegance, that of the heart. It was all born of the desire to revisit the classic codes of luxury hotels and propel them into another dimension.
With 30 candles blown out, l’Eclaireur sets its sights on a new project, taking up residence at the Royal Monceau Raffles Paris -39/41, avenu hoche. The space, named Le Royal Eclaireur, takes over the legendary hotel from top to bottom. Seven showcases on the façade invite you to discover and share.
Philippe Starck, the hotel’s designer, has lent his inimitable imagination to the place. Based on the principle that a Palace should not be a cold, impersonal place. Starck conceived the boutique as a place full of life, the opposite of traditional codes. A bed opening onto a virtual sky that seems to pierce the building’s 8 storeys, closets here and there, a banquet table that also serves as a display case for a selection of accessories… A selection that gives pride of place to vintage furniture and objects, and exclusive items. Giambattista Valli, Rabih Kayrouz, Oscar de la Renta, Rick Owens, Celine, Yves St Laurent, Matthew Williamson… Aristide Najean, Maître Verrier, will cohabit with Ara Starck, Vincent Darré and Christian Astuguevieille through their carpets created for the Royal Eclaireur and Fabien Verschaere for his mural frescoes.
Between boutique, luxury suite and art gallery, the Royal Eclaireur swings. This alliance of worlds sets it apart. Intisimistic and out-of-focus, magical and surreal, the atmosphere that emanates from the Royal Eclaireur makes it a different experience from the five other venues; experiences dedicated to a public curious and sensitive to these new challenges.
