SWISS is introducing an expanded flight schedule from Geneva, Basel/Mulhouse and Zurich this summer. The airline also inaugurates its new Business Class and refines its First Class service.

SWISS expands services from Geneva, Basel/Mulhouse and Zurich

The introduction of the Swiss International Air Lines summer flight schedule is accompanied by a significant increase in service to Geneva, Basel/Mulhouse and Zurich. From Geneva, SWISS is doubling its daily service to Athens, and in partnership with Edelweiss Air is offering a further nine Mediterranean beach destinations. In all, SWISS offers a network of 40 direct destinations from Geneva.
From Basel/Mulhouse, the network is extended by two new destinations – Rome and Copenhagen – and service to Hamburg and Barcelona is intensified. From July 1 to August 22, four weekly flights are scheduled to Nice. Also from Basel/Mulhouse, SWISS is offering two to three daily flights to London Heathrow and one daily flight to Manchester in partnership with British Midland International.
From Zurich, SWISS is increasing capacity to Shanghai, San Francisco, East and West Africa and selected flights to Southern Europe. SWISS customers will benefit from increased capacity on intercontinental flights from Zurich this summer. An additional flight will be offered to San Francisco and Shanghai, bringing the total to 7 weekly flights. In West Africa, Douala and Yaoundé will be newly served 4 times a week; in East Africa, service to Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam will be increased from 5 to 6 weekly flights. In Europe, SWISS will add seasonal services to Malaga and Palma de Mallorca.
The SWISS summer timetable is valid from March 27 to October 29, 2011. It can be viewed on SWISS.COM.

A new Business Class, available on the entire Airbus A330-300 fleet and soon on all Airbus A340s.

Following the successful introduction of the new SWISS Business in the Airbus A340 to San Francisco, Boston, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Johannesburg, SWISS customers will soon benefit from this new comfort on other routes: Shanghai (from March), Sao Paulo and Miami (gradually from the end of March, Miami partly with the A330-300), Tokyo (from the end of April), Bangkok (gradually from June), Cairo (from July) and Tel Aviv (from the end of July).
By mid-2011, all 15 aircraft of this type will feature the new SWISS Business.

SWISS fine-tunes its First Class service
Since March 2, 2011, premium passengers have benefited from faster, even more personalized service and a wider choice of meals. On night flights, they can opt for the “À-la-Carte-Dining” formula and its faster service, so they can enjoy their trip to the full or sleep longer. In this way, premium passengers can decide at any time of day what they want to eat and at what time.
The revamped SWISS First Class service is accompanied by high-quality porcelain tableware with contemporary lines, and elegant Riedel glasses. In addition, the airline will gradually equip its First Class with new toiletries, pyjamas, soft cushions and day blankets. The choice of in-flight magazines has also been extended.
