The 2011 “Golden balance” awards two prizes to A. Lange & Söhne for its Saxonia Annual Calendar model in the “watches costing over €25,000” category, and for its 1815 Moon Phase model in the “watches costing up to €25,000” category.
Every year since 1998, the “Golden Balance” award has been organized by the watch magazine “Uhren Magazin” to designate, via its readers and “Focus Online” web surfers, the most exceptional watches of the year. In all, almost 11,000 people worldwide took part in the poll, and 400 mechanical watches were nominated.
