Keeping the world at arm’s length with elegance is EHUD’s credo for Autumn-Winter 2011. Most of its silhouettes are therefore suits or coats, but in the rare appearances of skin or an impeccably pressed shirt, we can suspect that beneath the strictly business appearances beats a young heart that fights against an assimilation into the System that small details betray: a red vinyl suit, duos of gray and black on impeccably cut pants, leather under raised collars.
Elegantly keeping the world at arm’s length is the credo of EHUD for Autumn-winter 2011. Most of the silhouettes were outerwear and even when a flash of flesh, or a sliver of shirt is seen, there is never any sense of familiarity. Small details belie the seriousness: blood-red vinyl, half-n-half black and grey wool trousers, leather beneath the collar. Armour against the world, one can suspect that beneath the strict, business-like interior beats a youthful heart that balks against The System.
