Philippe Lelièvre is Toujours Givré at La Cigale

Not sure what to do tonight or New Year’s Eve? How about a good laugh in the first half of the evening?

A small theater company in financial difficulty attempts to stage Pataquès, a very bad vaudeville. The director and author of the play has to deal with the strong characters and antics of his actors, who are rather unmotivated by the play. However, an unexpected win from a soccer lottery enables this reluctant company to go and relax in Normandy. However, the expected result will not be there, between a love story and a settling of scores. This is the pitch for Toujours Givré , Philippe Lelièvre‘s one-man show, co-written and directed by Arnaud Lemort, which runs until December 31 at La Cigale in Paris.

The least we can say is that we laugh out loud at this splendid role-play in which Philippe Lelièvre gives us a real demonstration of his talent as an actor. More of a play than a one-man show, Philippe Lelièvre jumps from one character to the next, some ten in all, with his trademark comic flair and energy. By turns director, stage manager, actor and actress, this actor from the world of amateur theater and improvisation marvelously portrays each temperament, bringing each character to life and endearing him or her to the audience.

To discover with family or friends.

All proceeds from December 31st will be donated to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, an association that operates on children from underprivileged countries suffering from severe malformations, who are then cared for in foster families for three months.

So what more could you ask for than to laugh and do a good deed at the same time?

Until December 31st at 9pm at La Cigale – 120 Bvd Rochechouard, 75018 Paris
