After a first collection very noticed last October, the second opus of Phoebe Philo for Celine was one of the most expected events of this fashion week.
The Franco-British designer, formerly of Chloé, has given Celine back all its letters of nobility by playing the card of elegance without superfluous that fits so well to the brand since its inception.
The neutrality of the models’ beauty, with a simple half-tail and almost naked skin, highlights the purity of the cuts and volumes. Navy blue, black, gray, a well-defined color palette, which despite their uniformity are of a depth and absolute chic, all of a subtlety that can not be questioned.
Phoebe Philo introduces us to the new Celine woman of this winter, a real woman, juggling with materials, wearing long coats where leather flirts with boiled wool and vaporous blouses, where dresses whose delicate cream lace blends with the skin, and always straight, safe and feminine cuts. A new silhouette takes shape before our eyes, with this carefully orchestrated collection, which blows a wind of freshness and voluptuousness on this winter 2010-2011.
