Small request from the editor going back to November:

Very corrosive your articles …. I was wondering if you couldn’t dilute them a bit because it’s a bit provocative compared to the rest… Or if not, if we were not to pass them on as mood posts… “

Friday, February 26, 2010 go ahead, the most difficult thing in the end is not to know what to put or not in this pseudo chronicle but to find a formula that could not change too much during the weeks, to make it more or less attractive and that people read it by understanding my delusions, my desires, my plans or ideas,…

And then the MOST important thing to do is to put a name on it to make it clear that this is not and will not be an article, so in an irony of the moment I remember Oscar Dufresne the columnist telling his life story in VSD (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in Beigbeder’s novel/essay/chronic/joke “L’Egoïste Romantique”.

So for me it will be VS, not Versus, but Friday/Saturday or Sentimental Life to link to the title of the first.

So, for this first Friday let’s establish the structure:

  1. A title with the initials V and S
  2. A drawing
  3. A quote from a large surface
  4. Drug
  5. A playlist
  6. An ending formula

And for Saturday let’s find another “summary”:

  1. A title with the initials V and S
  2. A drawing
  3. A free expression
  4. Drug
  5. An agenda
  6. An ending formula

There you go, now you have to stick to it, then I think I have to introduce myself, that seems to me to be the minimum for a young jerk of a columnist, “jerk it”, forward, who am I?

Shit question, I don’t know, who am I? Am I simply? We can summarize by saying that my name is Alexandre, but that you have to say Alex or Playmo,… As for me, my name is “Alexandre Marc Jean Emile” AMEN!

I think I have serious complexes, I am in love when I find myself single, and mentally single while in a relationship. Hyperactive and insomniac dreaming of passivity and nonchalance overflowing with laziness, I don’t know how to be happy, I’m never happy, happy with everything as well as with nothing, all smiles while I’m bored, nice guy mixed with a real rotten person.

My diet is simple: hamburgers, fries, pasta, tomatoes, chocolates, coffee with an “s”, mints, clementines, grapefruits, lemons and other citrus fruits…
If I die and you pick my pocket, you’ll always find: a camera, mints, a cell phone, an mp3, a dispenser loaded with PEZ, my passport, my first dollar, German or Japanese markers, my notebooks, a bunch of meds, an anti-stress toy. You will also find coffee bags always with an “s”, and above all, something that never leaves me, my grigri, a sheep in boots designed by (…), I keep some secrets anyway.

Easier and faster, my influences :

In literature, the beat generation, with Kerouac, Bukowsky,… the new ones with Ellis, Beigbeder,… and the old ones with Beaudelaire as leader. To that you add Kafka, Klein, Mlynowski, King, Orwell, Fontaine,…

On TV, uh,…

Canal Plus with Ariel Wizman’s former show Tentation 06, then Tentation 07, Beigbeder’s Circle, Bruce Toussaint’s Special Edition, Victor Robert’s Pop Com, Ardisson’s SLT. And Doum Doum, and Braquo, and Hard, and Sweet Dreams…

France 3 with Ce soir ou jamais by Frédéric Taddeï, which allows to link Nip/Tuck on Paris Première,…(yes Taddeï presented Paris Dernière before)

And then abroad Spuiten & Slikken on BNN in Holland, Spooks on BBC, Prova Del Cuoco on Rai Uno in Italy, and my two favorites, Dexter on Showtime and Mad Men on AMC both in the USA.

For the cinema I will quote my directors, and from them, well I have seen all the films. Tarantino, Fincher, Kubrick and Kounen.

And then I got very serious about Oliver Stone and Woody Allen.

And in music it’s really, really too long, so you take all the Kitsuné, all the Ed Banger, you add Stuck In The Sound, I Am Un Chien, Gorillaz, Massive Attack, the Valerie collective, Gotan Project, the commercials music, the Grand Popo Football Club, the cartoons generics, and all the good rock, from the Stones to the Kooks, from the Beatles to Nirvana, and from Mettalica to Kean,… There you go and so many more!

Is it good? Can I start?

Big Box Quote:

-have you thought about carrots?
-You just have to get up and go!
-Yes, I’m going, I hear it makes you feel good…
-bah take some ginger it seems that it makes you hard!

Drugs:

“He sticks his hand in his mouth and bites it, bursts into tears, wriggles on the floor, and muffles his own screams. Then he gets up, looks in my direction, runs to the open window, and jumps out,… I don’t stop laughing until I finally realize he’s dead, then I start smiling as I watch the squirrels around me praying in a sectarian chorus, two of them immolating themselves and two others screwing each other. Three hours later, the effects of the LSD are over, I get up, look at the time, it’s 4:37 am, I go to the window, he’s there in a pool of blood, I clutch a glass of tomato juice, and decide to flush the blotters down the toilet before calling the cops,…”

The End Formula:

On this Friday, all out
Let’s go home late or not

Will you follow this white line?
(sniff)
Straw against straw
On Guard

To the Jews Shabbat Shalom
To Christians, beware of the edges
To the Muslims pray well
To the students dance the Macarena
To the old men good night and try to wake up
To you a very good evening
To you,… You know…

To me, help,…
