Drawing on the insurrectionary episode of 1871, three young people with an overflowing imagination plunge us into an atmosphere like a contemporary curiosity cabinet…

« Commune de Paris 1871″ is a brand new label born from the pooling of the respective skills of illustrator Sébastien Lyky, fashion designer Alexandre Maïsetti, already behind the Shaïwear brand, andEdouard Launay, from the Talkie Walkie agency. The creations are therefore naturally based on the idea of transversality. From shirts to cushions, from posters to jewelry, almost nothing escapes the trio’s obvious freshness.

The concept of the communards is rather nice: to edit, in addition to their own pieces, those of artists of various horizons, invited to reinterpret each one with their own way the symbols and themes resulting from the revolutionary episode which gave its name to the label. The clothing line is masculine with a mixed tendency while the accessories and objects are intended for both men and women.

For the first collection, Munchausen ‘s graphic designers used their talents on all kinds of media, in black and white and in the colors of France. The first pieces of the label are also the fruit of the inspirations of a duo composed of the illustrator Julien Langendorff and David Herman Düne, who sometimes swaps his microphone for a pencil, as well as the jewelry designer Adeline Cacheux. The young lady, who created her own brand in 2006, uses the graphics of these artists to create her own pieces.
A series of sober pieces, imbued with a revolutionary spirit, with just the right amount of coolness to make them exude elegance.

Quick, just over a week to discover the label at the Arty Dandy gallery, which presents until August 31 the collective exhibition « Royal Cocorico ». !
