René Gurskov : eccentric classic

On holiday, collection printemps/été 2010.

For René Gurskov, summer 2010 will be the meeting of sportswear and bling. Inspired by both the sportsmen of Amager Island in Copenhagen and the rich people of the French Riviera, the collection fearlessly combines soccer socks and leopard prints, purely classic pieces and cheerfully cheesy patterns. A daring challenge, but one that the designer has taken up with flying colors!

Looks that rely on a real mix of genres, Mr. Gurskov even going, as often, to the androgyny. The choice of models with fine, almost feminine features gives a certain fragility to the collection. A collection neat and shifted that the Dane wanted to cross the styles of Donatella Versace and boxer Prince Naseem.

The casual revalorized, the classic enhanced with a little grain of madness for this designer who says he is a fan of Boy George!

Let’s hope that Mr. Gurskov will soon think about us women, who have been lamentably neglected for some time…
