Louis Vuitton’s Spirit Chapitre II collection is an ode to the graphic energy and signature codes of the Maison. This fourth Haute Joaillerie collection is the work of Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton Jewelry and Watches. The 30 exceptional pieces in this collection evoke the intimate and inextricable bond between a piece of jewelry and its owner.
The collection is made up of four universes – Destiny, Liberty, Fantasy and Radiance – reflecting the indissociable values of Louis Vuitton. In each universe, the pieces are staged in such a way as to sublimate the House’s singular aesthetic codes.
Destiny is a constellation of 10 pieces characterized by a red color of absolute luminosity and perfection. Each gem seems to exude a unique power. The powerful V motif, a tribute to the dynamism of the Maison, is featured prominently in this collection. The composition of each piece is adorned with Vs and triangles adorned with Vs of different sizes. A 3.13-carat pear-cut « pigeon blood » ruby set with an LV Monogram cut diamond is the highlight of this splendid necklace.
Liberty embodies the desire for freedom that has always guided Louis Vuitton. In this universe, a mosaic of cut diamonds and LV Monogram cut diamonds creates a unique vision and an aesthetic language that is instantly recognizable. The Damier takes the form of an interlacing of more than 195 cut diamonds on a dazzling breastplate that combines all the signature codes of the Maison. Over 1,300 hours of work went into its creation.
Fantasy embodies the imagination of Louis Vuitton and evokes the pioneering spirit of the House’s founder. The chevron motif is magnified by a tangle of luminous yellow gold Vs and sparkling pavé diamonds that converge in an arrow motif. The two-tone textures give rise to exuberant jewels with an aesthetic language that is at once intense, graphic and bewitching. The hypnotic design of the two-row necklace is enlivened by the supple interweaving of Vs and chevrons of incredible fluidity.
Radiance exudes a bold energy underlined by triangles of mirror yellow gold that set the stage for a geometry of pyramids and diamond-paved Vs. The necklace’s assertive design is underscored by a warm, sensual 17.48-carat spessartite mandarin garnet.
