Fall – Winter 2020 / 2021 The Winter Garden Show

In a winter garden, cultivating scented herbs and exotic flowers. The Luisa Beccaria FW 2020 / 2021 woman lives a passionate, free life nurturing each day just like a delicate bud, protecting her being with both determination and kindness. Iridescent flares and herbal patterns outline the collection theme. Desaturated winterflowers can be the macro or micro motif on tights and turtleneck vests worn on wider volumes. It can become a printed stretch wool, forlong fitted dresses as well as for high-waisted, skin-tight trousers. Sometimes it blooms like an embroidery on light tulle overlapped on printed slips. It even weasels its way in warp and weft of soft cashmere pulls. Tartan and tweed counterpoint the “Nature” motif. The checked pattern, enriched with fine lurex lines, is seen on chemise, maxi pants and the iconicLuisa Wrap Dress. Bouclé-jacquard blazersmatch floral dressesand midi skirts of the same fabric. Warm and cosy coats have a pink or light blue herringbone theme with fine embroideries. Glares of the greenhouse crystals light up the night gowns. Gold, silver and blue-green straws are entrapped into overlapping nets of tulle, for waisted dresses with nude shoulders. Shapes are soft, enhancing the silhouette. Long, tight cuffs, high-waisted designs, fitted belts contrast slightly-A skirts and broad sleeves, in order to balance the figure. The fabrics are warm and light: cashmere, knitted wool, jersey, tweed, embroidered velvet, tulle, georgette and fil coupé chiffon. Powdery hues of autumn and winter inspire the colour palette. The entire range of pearly colours: light and rose pink, blush, mauve, plum. Thousand shades of cool grey and light blues, through wisteria, beau blue, cornflower, air force blue, aquamarine. Mother of pearl tones for the night. Among the accessories: boots and ankle boots covered up with the collection fabrics, waist belts, high jersey collars, fully printed stockings.
