BOSS Womenswear Pre-Fall 2018 collection
An ode to individualism in the digital age
Designed for an adventurous woman in need of a versatile wardrobe, the latest offering from BOSS Womenswear features active-inspired designs in a palette of iridescent shades. In an era where connectivity is at an all-time high, the collection moves closer to nature.
Inspired by urban exploration, the looks combine climbing references with the tailored aesthetic BOSS Womenswear is known for. Among the more subtle evocations of this theme, contrast bindings feature across shoulder seams, on waistbands and down the side of tapered jackets and trousers. In respect to outerwear, brightly colored cropped jackets feature metal hardware details.
Without compromising on this active aesthetic, lighter ways to layer are also woven into the collection. Windbreaker-esque outerwear options are cut from silky parachute fabric, and athleisure-inspired dresses in flowing shapes feature delicate laser-cut lace for a feminine touch.
When it comes to color, focused shots of pop orange, electric jade and lilac contrast with neutral tones to give transitional pieces a new twist. The print direction follows suit, as stark geometric patterns inspired by the Italian design movement Memphis bring playful attitude to soft tailoring and slip dresses.
