On May 19, 2010, at the VIP Room in Cannes, Jean-Roch hosted the Chanel House for the preview of the short film Remember Now directed by Karl Lagerfeld, to present the new Chanel 2010-2011 Cruise Collection. On the eve of the opening of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Karl Lagerfeld presented the new Chanel Cruise collection on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in the port of the small town of Var known to all: Saint-Tropez.

The Cruise collection, also called pre-collection, is an intermediate collection that allows customers to wait for the arrival of the flagship collection. This year, it seems to be a real tribute to the seventies with pastel tones, micro dresses, high waisted pants, bikinis and even the gingham print so emblematic of this period. The whole accessorized by vertiginous golden leather spartan. Fluid fabrics, beach dresses, flat sandals, everything is there but the designer has not forgotten the codes of the house by offering a new modernized summer version of the tweed suit. The muses of the famous brand with the double C Vanessa Paradis, Anna Mouglalis or Diane Krüger have enjoyed the show at the famous café Sénéquier with a superb final in motorcycle with Georgia Jagger in thigh boots.

Filmed in Saint-Tropez, Remember Now features actors Elisa Sednaoui and Pascal Greggory in the lead roles, enjoying the night between a party at the VIP Room in Cannes and an after-party in a luxury villa, accompanied by Jean-Roch and model friends of the House of Chanel, including Baptiste Giabiconi, Karolina Kurkova, Abbey Lee and model DJ Leigh Lezark…

Presented by a neo-Coco wearing a beautiful Chanel sailor suit, this short film is also a tribute to Saint-Tropez and its particular universe. Models familiar to the house enjoy the Tropezian life of today, dancing in a totally uninhibited way in outfits from the Cruise collection, lounging in yachts or private villas, driving around in the latest Ferrari. The great figures of Saint-Tropez are evoked: Colette through a transfigured Elisa Sednaoui standing in her Tropezian house, Sacha Distel in the background. The star model of the 70s Donna Jordan, muse of Andy Warhol, reappears as an unrecognizable Karolina Kurkova. Mr. Lagerfeld also made a strong reference to the 1971 wedding of Mike and Bianca Jagger in a white tuxedo that took place in Saint-Tropez.

But above all Karl pays tribute to the eternal cinema and to the icons of the 60’s cinema. Here, he evokes René Clément’s Plein Soleil with Alain Delon and Maurice Ronet through Baptiste Giabiconi and his sidekick Jake Davies on a yacht. There we think we see Brigitte Bardot dancing in God created woman during the dance of the model Magdalena Frackowiak. A tourist thinks she recognizes Jane Birkin in the person of Abbey Lee Kershaw.

During the screening of the short film at the VIP Room in Cannes, many stars were present around Karl Lagerfeld and Jean-Roch as the president of the Jury of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival Tim Burton, Paris Hilton, Kelly Rowlands, actors Vincent Cassel, Pascal Greggory and Gaspard Ulliel, the team of the Grand Journal of Canal +, Olivier Zahm, the models Baptiste Giabiconi and Sebastien Jondeau, Mademoiselle Agnès, Frédéric Beigbeder…

The mythical couple Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp arrived hand in hand around 00:30.

Around 2am, the guests continued the evening by setting fire to the dance floor of the VIP Room Cannes until the end of the night.
