Harmony of the senses at Six Senses Spa

Between work, shopping, appointments and family life, we often end our days on the rocks. In the rare moments when we can breathe, our mind wanders to a luxurious place where we would be pampered like never before. And yes, we all dream of an urban cocoon where the slightest source of stress would be forbidden!

Get into a quiet place and make yourself comfortable. Close your eyes and let me take you to a wonderful place to live an extraordinary sensory experience.

You are there, so follow me to the Six Senses Spa in the center of Paris. Located on rue de Castiglione between Place Vendôme and the Jardin des Tuileries, this spa is the first Six Senses urban sanctuary in France and combines in perfect harmony the sky, the earth and natural wood. This exceptional place, the result of the know-how of French architect Pierre David, was designed to let you enjoy the Slow Life philosophy of Six Senses. Everything is thought to respect the environment, from the use of local solutions and ingredients whenever possible to the reduction of water consumption and laundry, the real sustainable luxury in the city !

As soon as you enter, the reception area takes you into another universe where wood dominates, with a magnificent plant wall created by Patrick Blanc on your left. This wall aims to clean the air in Paris in order to purify the air in the spa, thus reducing gas emissions. Let’s take the stairs and head to the spa area itself. Let’s get comfortable in our bathrobe and slippers. For the care of hot towels, slippers and bathrobes, the spa is the first in Europe to use an organic vegetable fiber produced from eucalyptus wood pulp.

Now let’s enter the care area. The spa offers six treatment rooms designed as cocoons with two doubles and four singles. Made of light oak and handcrafted by French artisans, these cocoons allow you to enjoy the treatments in complete tranquility. Each cocoon is lined with illuminated paper panels, creating an extraordinary protective atmosphere, conducive to relaxation under the magical fingers of the staff to liquidate all traces of stress. That’s it, your mind has finally left Paris for another heavenly place…

Large bay windows provide natural lighting and open onto a particularly surprising relaxation area: the Paris skyline is projected in real time onto a section of the spa wall thanks to the webcam on the roof! Ideal to relax by becoming one with Paris without the incessant noise of cars and horns. You can observe the Place de la Concorde and the Eiffel Tower while enjoying an invigorating herbal tea, comfortably installed in soft deckchairs.

But let me tell you about the care. Through revitalizing Asian techniques and body treatments using environmentally friendly products, the spa staff invites us on a sensory journey unlike any other. Specific natural sponges based on local ingredients and solutions are proposed to us in response to our daily life concerns. The Organic Detox Voyage uses organic Voya algae that are biodegradable and recycled after use as fertilizer for the green wall or the delicate roses of the Jardin des Tuileries. The Honey Facial from the Rooftops of Paris uses honey produced on the rooftops of Paris, supplied by the resident bees of the Jardin des Tuileries. The « Restorative Sleep », « New Breath » and « Clear Mind » treatments have been designed to help us live better in the city. For the most nomadic among us, there is even a « Time Shift » treatment to release muscular tension and awaken the senses.

And men are not to be outdone, as a range of treatments has been specifically designed for them.

You come out of the Six Senses spa feeling energized and in total harmony with nature and therefore with yourself.

You can open your eyes now. Are you smiling? Then don’t hesitate for a minute and come and see for yourself!!! Something to excite your five senses…
