Le Cloître ouvert is a unique exhibition space in the heart of Paris. This Dominican convent, whose spaces are managed by the Di Mezzo agency, is an original and luminous space for cultural exchange.

From January 11 to 30, 2010, it hosts the exhibition STREET ART, which presents the paintings of three creative, free and spontaneous graffiti artists. Cinz, Junky and Zenoy, whose works are already recognized by major collectors, share their vision of the contemporary world with a wide audience.

Birth of JUNKY :

Junky made his first steps in street art in the late 80’s tagging & vandalizing all the supports at his disposal such as walls, trains etc… through his native Gennevilliers (92), then in the neighboring towns.

It is at the beginning of the 90s, by founding his crew the TJS – The Junkie Spray – that he will be able to impose his style. He participated in an exhibition highlighting the world of Graffiti at the Institut du Monde Arabe in 1991. Conquered by his pure and colorful urban canvases, other renowned graffiti artists – Darco (FBI), Meo (TCG COP), to name but a few – invited him to participate in exhibitions, Hip Hop festivals and other events of all kinds.

He is also solicited by dealers on the Motor Show to decorate stands, artists looking for an original logo… All want to attract attention, to take care of their image thanks to Junky’s flawless features.

In 1997, in order to better manage all his talents, this eclectic and versatile artist founded the Junkadelic Zikmu label where he is a composer, producer and DJ.

At the same time, he is hired by the association « Paragraff », in Nanterre. He supervises graffiti workshops open to all and initiates a large audience to the joys of sprays, poscas and gouache. An accomplished and mature graffiti artist, Junky is aware that painting offers infinite techniques and possibilities of expression. Since its beginnings, it has discreetly tried its hand at the web and intends to make it one of its main supports! Lovers of more classical arts should beware!

Birth of CINZ:

Born in 1976, Cinz entered the world of graffiti in the early nineties. Alone on a street corner or along a railroad track, Cinz works his style. He became a member of the group D77 (Défonce sept jours sur sept).

Since 2001, he is solicited by several municipalities and companies to decorate cities and businesses or to create logos and other communication tools. After deciding to put his art on canvas, Cinz is a free electron in the graffiti world. His first exhibition dates from 2000.

Five years later, he was invited to exhibit at the « Art&Craft » show in Dubai, which led to the presentation of an extraordinary project: the decoration of a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi.

He exhibited several times in Paris, went to New York to recharge his batteries and left to conquer Brittany in 2009. His works have been exhibited in Brest at the Zonzon gallery. Today, Cinz is driven by a strong desire to open up. His creations testify to this.

Birth of ZENOY:

Zenoy’s first tag in 1987 was born under the influence of a friend who came back from New-York.

In the streets, then in the buses or inside the subways, Zenoy is learning. He discovers the tradition of the train that makes his art travel, like a rolling canvas through Paris and its suburbs. Once his goal of being seen by everyone was accomplished, he decided to evolve his style.

He paints frescoes on facades (Villeneuve la Garenne stadium, village halls), participates in various artistic events and companies such as Playsation, Adidas, Redbull call on him to perform live graffiti.

Zenoy will produce a 60-minute feature on urban art entitled « Bomb Attack ». His work on canvas has been exhibited throughout Europe at Hip Hop events and notably at the exhibition entitled « Rue » at the Grand Palais. On television, he shares his passion for graffiti in various art and culture shows. These works are sought after and appreciated by major collectors and street art lovers.

« Graffiti is a part of my life. More than twenty years have passed and my passion for this art is intact. The important thing is to keep it fun while being seen by everyone. » – Zenoy.
