Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 1998, the ultimate expression of Ruinart expertise
Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 1998, made exclusively from Chardonnay Grands Crus, 66% from the Côte des Blancs and 34% from the northern Montagne de Reims, is the finest expression of the House’s demand for perfection in this grape variety with its unique qualities. This great vintage also pays tribute to a year recognized for its exceptional quality in the world of champagne. The fruit of over 10 years’ cellar ageing, Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is the perfect invitation to an exceptional tasting experience: a sparkling golden-yellow color with delicate bronze-green highlights, an extremely fine effervescence and a remarkably abundant mousse for this vintage. Against a racy mineral backdrop, the first nose underlines the fine maturity of the 1998 vintage, with notes of fresh honey, white nougat and candied citrus fruit. Evocations of pastry and dried fruit on the second nose confirm the sweetness announced, giving rise to great aromatic complexity. The attack on the palate is full-bodied and particularly silky. Fruit aromas dominate, but in a richer register, with a touch of candied fruit and dried fruit. Mango, kumquat, almond, hazelnut… Each of these fruits seems to have entrusted the best of its aromas to this great champagne, for a gustatory harmony of remarkable verticality, freshness and persistence. Dom Ruinart 1998 expresses itself fully as an aperitif, and is ideal with the subtle flavors of creamy crab verrines. At the table, its racy character will sublimate dishes composed of seafood or noble fish. Scallop risotto, lobster terrine with crunchy vegetables, roasted Saint-Pierre with lemon mousseline… a wide range of combinations to suit every taste. The « R » vintage 2004, a precision that speaks volumes
The fruit of an excellent year, the 2004 vintage « R » blend comprises 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, all from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The wine has a light golden hue, with green highlights and a subtle, lively effervescence that creates a persistent cordon. The purity and splendid freshness of the first nose blossom into a floral and mineral register, with hints of citrus and white fruit, enhanced by lightly spicy notes evoking white pepper and cardamom. The second nose reveals notes of spelt bread and fresh hazelnut, for a very racy whole, in which the Chardonnay fully expresses itself. The palate, mineral and creamy, is perfectly chiselled, expressing with finesse the fullness and intensity characteristic of Ruinart vintages. Dominated by floral and white fruit notes, it offers the airy, refined balance of a low-dosage wine. While it’s best served as an aperitif, the 2004 vintage « R » will sublimate the fresh, mineral flavors of a whole sea bass with seaweed in a salt crust, or lightly pan-fried bouquets. As with all great Ruinart vintage champagnes, a few more years in the cellar will reveal the hidden facets of this 2004 « R ». Ruinart’s « R », a match made in heaven
Made from 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir, Ruinart’s « R » is the perfect champagne for any occasion. With its golden yellow color, crystalline brilliance and lively, fine bubbles that form a light, persistent cordon, Ruinart’s « R » cuvée is sure to catch the eye. The first nose is fine and fruity, with notes of white fruit and hints of dried fruit. The second reveals notes of white flowers, mingled with greedy aromas of cookies and cake dough. Perfectly balanced, the palate is supple and suave, delivering aromas of ripe yellow and stone fruits and mirabelle plum tart. The palate is enveloped by a beautiful roundness, coupled with perfect harmony and lovely persistence. The « R » is the perfect companion for aperitifs and all-Champagne meals alike. From seafood platters to cheese platters, from sole meunière to poultry stuffed with dried fruit, it’s the perfect partner for almost any dish. Just let your imagination run wild… Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, the emblem of Ruinart taste.
100% Chardonnay, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs perfectly embodies all the expertise of the House of Ruinart, of which it is now the undisputed spearhead. Like a diamond in the rough, Chardonnay transmits all its brilliance to Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, which boasts a luminous pale gold color. This demanding grape variety also reveals its finest gustatory and aromatic assets in this extraordinary cuvée. The nose of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs sets the tone, immediately delivering notes of fresh white fruit and citrus. On the palate, its natural liveliness, freshness and minerality develop with roundness and suppleness. Aromas of white nectarine and grapefruit mingle voluptuously, accompanied by a fine, persistent effervescence. By its very nature, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is a wine for every occasion: aperitif or festive meal, sunny lunch or beautiful summer evening, it is appreciated by all for its characteristic brilliance, purity and freshness. As an aperitif, it goes well with verrines of zucchini cream, feta and fresh basil. At the table, its liveliness is a perfect match for seafood and white fish. Ruinart Rosé, a colorful tasting experience
True to Ruinart’s expertise, Ruinart Rosé owes its finesse and elegance to its high concentration of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, combined with Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. A sublime pink color, delicately iridescent with golden and coral highlights. A color that heralds the subtle nose, with its aromas of cherry and just-picked red berries. The first impression is that of a perfectly balanced wine, both silky and fresh. Fruity, it charms the palate with its remarkable suppleness and consistency. As an aperitif, gourmets will be surprised by Ruinart Rosé’s surprising and no less delicious pairing with salmon sashimi. At the table, pairings remain as audacious as they are delicious. An Andalusian gazpacho will awaken its freshness and vivacity, a cranberry magret rosé will underline its harmonious complexity and a strawberry soup will transcend the intensity of its fruitiness. The color and freshness of Ruinart Rosé naturally evoke romanticism. Its aromas are easily tamed, leaving everyone free to revel in its fruitiness without taking their eyes off their better half. Dom Ruinart Rosé 1996
The unique blend of 84% Chardonnay and 16% Pinot Noir gives Dom Ruinart Rosé 1996 its limpid, rose-gold color with subtle amber copper highlights. Its extremely fine bubbles give it a sustained effervescence. After pleasing the eye, the intensity of Dom Ruinart Rosé 1996 seduces the nose, rising subtly in power with the temperature of the wine. If the first scents are fruity and delicate, the nose becomes progressively more opulent as it warms up. Whatever the temperature, the wine’s elegant finesse and presence augur well for its ageing potential. Surprisingly fresh, thanks to the remarkable vintage, the palate is vertical and long, confirming the complexity and harmony of the nose, followed by a hint of peat. Aromas of red fruit, licorice and citrus fruit strike the perfect balance to delight the taste buds. Dom Ruinart Rosé 1996 is a natural partner for the finest dishes, such as American-style lobster or sea urchin brouillade.
