More than 2,400 fashion designers from around the world applied this year, demonstrating the growing appeal and importance of this prestigious award.<\/p>\n
After a rigorous selection process, 22 brands have been selected for the semi-final, which will be held on March 2 and 3 in Paris. These semi-finalists come from 15 different countries, including Brazil and Jamaica for the first time, offering a great diversity of cultures and talents.<\/p>\n
The LVMH Prize will also be held digitally and in a participatory manner this year, on the lvmhprize.com website, from March 1 to 5. The public will be able to discover the designers and vote for their favorite candidate. This vote will count as one vote in addition to the experts’ votes.<\/p>\n
The International Committee of Experts of the LVMH Prize, made up of specialists from the fashion world, will also vote to select the eight finalists. This semi-final, both digital showroom and physical presentation, will highlight talented and innovative young designers.<\/p>\n
Delphine Arnault, Deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton and President of the LVMH Prize, is delighted with the quality and diversity of the semi-finalists. Many of them put at the center of their creative process the culture and the artisanal know-how of their country of origin, as well as eco-responsibility issues.<\/p>\n
The brands selected for the semi-final are: Aaron Esh, Anne Isabella, Bettter, Bloke, Burc Akyol, Charlie Constantinou, Diotima, Joao Maraschin, Johanna Parv, Juntae Kim, Karu Research, Kusikohc, Louis Shengtao Chen, Luar, Magliano, Marrknull, Namesake, Paolina Russo, Quira, Setchu, Stinarand and Wataru Tominaga.<\/p>\n
The winner of the LVMH Young Fashion Creators Award will receive a 300,000 euro stipend and a year of tailored mentoring from a dedicated LVMH team. The Karl Lagerfeld Prize will also reward a young designer with 150,000 euros and offer a year of mentoring.<\/p>\n
The Prize also distinguishes three young fashion school graduates by offering them and their school a 10,000 euro grant. The winning graduates will join the creative studio of one of the group’s companies for a year.<\/p>\n
The LVMH Young Fashion Creators Award has become a benchmark for young designers, highlighting emerging and innovative talent in the world of fashion. This 2023 edition promises to be exceptional, with talented semi-finalists committed to social and environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n
