Anton Belinskiy Fall-Winter 2018-19<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Anton Belinskiy Fall-Winter 2018-19 collection is a uniform for the youth and features codes from sportswear and workwear blended with modern tailoring. Anton’s eclectic group of friends from his native Kiev and the newfound home in Paris became the major source of inspiration. Anton reflects on modern urban lifestyle through endless stories, moments and memories shared between young creatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, Anton’s friend Bianca once spilled a drink in a bag full of old receipts and found the result so visually appealing, that she scanned and used the pattern for her art-school projects. Anton Belinskiy made it into fabric and the soaked receipts now cover dresses, coats and overknee boots.<\/span><\/p>\n

The key F\/W 18 pieces are tailored coats, jackets and pantsuits, relaxed sportswear and Anton’s signature intarsia-knit scarves. The scarves feature a pattern of Ukraine’s traditional cross-stitched “rushnyk” towels and read “For Luck” in Ukrainian. These are usually given as gifts at weddings.<\/span><\/p>\n

This season’s prints, graphic tees and knitwear feature artworks by Bianca Tanchay (Paris), Max von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert (Berlin – New York) and fellow Ukrainians Mishka Bochkarev, Yana Yurevich and Vova Vorotnev.<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection was presented on March 3rd in a dilapidated Paris sports complex within the official Paris Fashion Week presentations schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anton Belinskiy’s work poses questions of independence, the meaning of history and national identity in the global world. Today the striving of Ukraine’s young generation for freedom and identity is manifested through underground raves, art, photography and fashion, and Anton Belinskiy is at the heart of this youthquake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anton Belinskiy is based in Kiev, Ukraine and has run his fashion label since 2011. Anton had a taste of international recognition with a nomination for the LVMH prize, a show with VFiles in New York, a handful of international stockists and two recent presentations at the Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion Week. His work has been featured in Dazed, i-D, 032c, Vogue US, Buro 24\/7 and more. Belinskiy’s success also goes beyond fashion: in 2017 he participated in the 57th Venice Biennale as part of Ukraine’s pavilion.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
