Each new vintage of Comtes de Champagne is, for the house of Taittinger, an opportunity to tell the story of a year through the prism of a single grape variety. Born of the chalky terroirs of the five villages of the C\u00f4te des Blancs, the 2015 vintage reveals a year marked by warmth, aromatic concentration and an energy that the house describes as perfectly mastered \u2014 a way of saying that a hot summer did not give way here to heaviness, but translated into a controlled intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its fine, delicate bubble gives way, on tasting, to an iodine and mineral nose before opening onto notes of pastry, brioche, hazelnut, lemon and bergamot \u2014 a progression that moves from the marine register to the gourmand one, by way of citrus freshness.
