With Coast to Coast, the Milanese house makes travel a principle of construction: each silhouette becomes a landscape crossed rather than a fixed destination.

Some collections tell the story of a place, and others the story of a journey. For its Spring-Summer 2027 season, titled Coast to Coast, Agnona has chosen the latter: a course in four movements that follows, in the house’s words, “the perpetual journey of those who see travel as an act of inner transformation”. The idea is not new in fashion, but the way Agnona handles it is: here, clothing does not depict somewhere else, it takes on its texture.

The first chapter, Lightscape, opens on the low light of a city at dusk. Collarless coats in lightweight double cashmere, short capes and jackets with rounded volumes move forward with a sculptural grace, while bouclés catch the soft brightness of spring skies. The technical nylons, for their part, fold into crisp urban geometries for roomy jackets and tapered parkas, tinted in ecru, baby blue and peach pink — the colours, the house specifies, of light dancing across the surfaces of the city. Graphic stitching traces routes across pyjamas and dressing gowns that lead into a more tailored daywear wardrobe: silk cady coats, blazers pinched at the waist, fluid pieces that follow the body with intimacy.

Fields Drift shifts the gaze to the countryside. Batavia linen — navy, burgundy, pink, ecru — dresses suits, bomber jackets, trapeze dresses and wrap shirts with relaxed sophistication. Floral motifs appear there as suspended memories: beaded on full skirts and blazers, or dissolved into prints on a silk midi dress, pyjama trousers and sheer tops. Perforated leather, shaped into Bermuda shorts and field jackets with drawstring waists, marks the collection’s shift towards the open air; ultra-flat sneakers in perforated leather and suede accompany this more distant walk.

Endless Thread continues the inner story of the journey — the one carried in patterns and memory. Kaftans and safari shirts in cotton poplin, worn with wide trousers, are adorned with openwork embroidery; open-work crochet knits add a new lightness. The Mille Nodi motif, a symbol of perpetual movement, is embroidered on trapeze skirts in linen or printed on shirt dresses, while the palette turns to butter, powder pink and pale blue before joining earth tones. Riviera Reverie closes the course on the shimmer of the sea: coral and sky-blue stripes, airy Sangallo embroidery on lightweight denim, fine lace and fluid kaftans.

The menswear collection follows the same horizon. Relaxed suits and striped trousers as separates convey the assurance of the contemporary traveller; the Mille Nodi motif adorns lightweight summer shirts, while open crochet knits take up, as a pattern, the memory of ties forgotten in a drawer. Leather jackets and bomber jackets bring a quiet authority to this wardrobe suspended between memory and becoming.

What runs through Coast to Coast, beyond its four chapters, is a conviction of craft: linen, silk, cashmere and supple leather are not simply noble materials here but the thread that links the destinations to one another. Agnona makes of it a demonstration of craftsmanship more than of decoration — a reminder that, in clothing as in travel, what matters is not the arrival but the transformation that takes place along the way.
