After the Piano Nobile redesigned in 2024, Chahan Minassian designs for Buccellati a second space at 23 Via Montenapoleone, in Milan. It is a salon reserved for the House’s clients and guests, where tableware silversmithing is meant, in its own words, to be experienced rather than displayed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Caviar Bar occupies a double-height space spanning two levels and overlooking the courtyard of the Palazzo Gavazzi, in Buccellati’s historic boutique. It is reserved for the House’s clients and guests: it is not a place one enters from the street, but a salon of the boutique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reached through a gallery that the House likens to the ceremonial routes of nineteenth-century Milanese palaces. It leads to a main room, overlooked by a glazed mezzanine that links the two levels to the eye. Lounge armchairs, bistro tables and a central bar make up the whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most visible feature lies in the vaults. They are entirely clad in bespoke mirror panels, in shades of copper, silver and smoked grey. The palette extends that of the Piano Nobile: silvery greys, taupe, bronze, golden reflections. The announced materials are velvets, Fortuny fabrics, textured leathers and made-to-measure rugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parisian designer Chahan Minassian, who carried out the transformation of the Piano Nobile in 2024, has designed every piece of furniture, as he did for that floor. He pairs them with vintage pieces, including Murano glass chandeliers. According to him, it was above all necessary to keep a residential spirit, that of a lived-in interior that preserves the architectural grandeur of the palace. The mirrors bring light and depth, the textiles and Murano glass warmth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inspiration comes from the Caviar collection, one of the expressions of Buccellati’s tableware silversmithing. The House recognises it by its micro-bead motif and offers it in engraved solid silver. The visual and material language of this collection is, it says, transposed into the space. Alongside it, the House cites its collections developed with Ginori, the Murano Collection, the Furry Animals and a selection of decorative objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the Piano Nobile in 2024, the Caviar Bar thus makes the Palazzo Gavazzi a suite of rooms designed by the same hand. The House describes them as those of a Milanese residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
