To present its new Lynette bag, the first archival revival in its history, Furla turned Il Foyer Alla Scala into an imaginary cinema, with a red carpet and K-pop.

A rebirth called for a fitting setting. To unveil Furla Lynette, the first bag to emerge from a dive into the house’s archives, Furla chose Il Foyer Alla Scala, one of the most history-laden venues in Milan, overlooking the Piazza della Scala. The event, called Furla Cinemania, borrowed the codes of a film premiere: red carpet, paparazzi moment, a Hollywood-inspired Walk of Stars and a Glam Cam capturing each guest in a personalised scene, as though they became, for one evening, the protagonist.

Guests included the models Mariacarla Boscono and Yasmin Wijnaldum, as well as the Spanish actress and singer Begoña Vargas, all three carrying the new bag in its limited-edition capsule collection. The evening also welcomed the emerging K-pop group KEYVITUP, launched in April 2026 under the impetus of Kim Jae Joong, alongside film figures such as Eva Cela and Noémie Saglio-Dru — a sign that Furla now seeks to widen its circle of influence beyond traditional fashion circuits, by bringing together cinema, music and international pop culture at once.

The bag itself deserves a closer look: Lynette is the first piece to revive the house’s history, as it approaches its centenary in 2027. A relaxed hobo silhouette, it plays on volume and texture, with two large zipped front pockets and layered leather finishes that balance contemporary luxury and urban functionality. Presented in a Milan Fashion Week edition in textured suede, in a palette of Cioccolato, Cognac, Winter Bloom, Senape Yellow and Cobalto Blue, each piece is individually numbered and bears an internal metal “Furla Archivio” label, a distinctive sign of a launch conceived as a collector’s object as much as an everyday accessory.

Adjustable straps at the base allow the silhouette to be widened or narrowed as desired, while the zip closure provides a practicality designed for daily use rather than for special occasions alone. This small-size launch, exclusive to Fashion Month in the Furla boutiques in Milan and Florence and on furla.com, will subsequently be offered in two additional sizes — leaving time for this archive piece to find its audience before a wider distribution.

The choice of cinema as an interpretive lens is not insignificant either for a house about to blow out its hundred candles: it is a popular art, widely shared beyond fashion circles, which allows Furla to reach a wider audience than the narrower one of those initiated into leather-goods archives alone. By placing Lynette at the centre of a script rather than a mere lookbook, the brand is betting on the collective emotion of cinematic memory to establish, from the launch, an added measure of desirability for this archive piece.

By choosing to bring its history into dialogue with the world of cinema rather than with the more expected one of the pure runway show, Furla asserts something too often forgotten: a bag, before being sold, must first tell a scene — and as its centenary approaches, the Italian house seems to have decided to tell its own with the framing sense of a feature film rather than the drier one of a simple lookbook.
