Christmas, once concentrated in the night of 24 to 25 December, has come to last almost a whole month in beauty aisles. For 2026, La Biosthétique provides a new illustration.

A calendar as the centrepiece

The house’s Christmas 2026 collection is organised around a single message, LOVE, expressed through several gift sets dressed in pastel shades punctuated with touches of gold. At the centre of the collection is The Book of Love, an advent calendar holding twenty-four surprises: a selection of travel-size face, hair and body care, along with make-up products drawn from the house’s various lines, to be discovered day after day until the festivities. Offered at a recommended retail price of 220 euros, this object works less as simple promotional packaging than as a device for gratification spread over time: instead of a single gesture of opening on Christmas Day, it organises twenty-four, spread across the whole month of December.

Five gift sets, five precise uses

Around the calendar, the house offers four other gift sets, each built around an identified need rather than a simple assortment. Cool Blonde brings together a trio of Glam+Colour Icy Crystal .07.LV care products designed to revive cool tones and neutralise unwanted golden reflections in blonde hair, priced at 59.50 euros. The Homme set offers a selection of revitalising care for face, body and hair at 49 euros. Colour Protection presents a three-step ritual intended to preserve the radiance of coloured hair, also at 59.50 euros, while Structure Repair relies on precious oils to hydrate dry, weakened hair, at 66.50 euros. A final set, Spa, combines a cleansing treatment and hand creams in a ritual dedicated to the care of the extremities, at 35 euros. This segmentation by precise hair use — cool blonde, coloured hair, dry hair — contrasts with the more general image often projected by year-end gift offers, and shows that La Biosthétique builds its Christmas collection on a technical vocabulary of care rather than on the gift-set argument alone.

Pastel and gold, two colours for one promise

The packaging chosen for the whole collection — pastel shades punctuated with touches of gold — departs from the more classic red and green associated with Christmas, moving closer to a palette more often found in weddings or Valentine’s Day. This colour choice echoes the LOVE message that structures the whole collection, and shifts the emotional register of Christmas, usually turned towards childhood and tradition, towards that of a gesture of affection addressed to an adult. The house thus does not present its gift sets as presents for children, but as attentions to give oneself or to offer between adults, in a vocabulary closer to a declaration than to a childhood surprise.

A timeframe that spills beyond 25 December

By multiplying points of contact — a calendar to open every day, four gift sets to choose according to a specific hair or skin need — La Biosthétique builds a collection whose consumption is spread over weeks rather than a single day. This dilution of Christmas time, already widely practised in perfumery and haute couture through high-end advent calendars, gains here a technical vocabulary of hair and skin care that gives it a justification different from that of a mere collector’s item.

It remains to be seen how many of these twenty-four boxes will actually be opened one by one, and how many will end up consumed in a single gesture, on the evening of 24 December, out of impatience rather than ritual.
