Founded in 1923 in Fiesso d’Artico, just a few kilometres from the lagoon, the Italian house has drawn its inspiration for over a century from the mosaics of San Marco, the lace of Burano and the crystal of Murano \u2014 a territory it has ultimately transformed into an aesthetic signature rather than mere backdrop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this edition, the house presents a tightly edited selection of emblematic models: the Cleo and Braid Cleo sandals, the Chandelier, and the Cinderella model, joined by a new addition, the Onda Pump. The latter stands out for its wave-like, crystal-trimmed contour, in which the house claims to combine minimalism with sophistication \u2014 a way of renewing its vocabulary without disowning the codes that built its reputation on red carpets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This choice of relative sobriety is not incidental in the Caovilla universe, generally associated with more ostentatious creations, covered in crystal from heel to strap. The Onda Pump seems intent on demonstrating that the house can also play the card of restraint, without renouncing the craftsmanship that sets it apart \u2014 the crystal remains present, but concentrated along a single line rather than spread across the entire surface of the shoe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event strategy, meanwhile, remains highly consistent: aligning the brand with the moments when the red carpet once again becomes a space of collective representation, between cinema and fashion. The Mostra, like Cannes before it, offers Rene Caovilla a showcase in which the shoe becomes the accessory that quietly tells a story of craftsmanship while the spotlights remain fixed on the gowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A century after its founding, the house thus continues to bet on a narrow but precise narrative territory \u2014 Venice, its mosaics, its glassmakers \u2014 rather than chasing broader references.
