An accord designed to be altered<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum opens on notes of pear nectar, blossoms around a bouquet of gardenia and jasmine, then closes on a vanilla pod. Priced at eighty-one euros for fifty millilitres, the creation belongs to a classic fruity floral register. What sets the piece apart is not its opening composition, but what it allows afterwards: to be recomposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The balm as a tool of composition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rare Beauty accompanies the launch with two scented layering balms, in pear and marshmallow accords, sold at twenty-one euros each. The aesthete no longer buys a fixed fragrance but a base on which to intervene according to mood or season. This gesture of layering, inherited from the rituals of niche perfumery where several materials are combined on the skin, arrives here in an accessible format designed for the bathroom rather than the perfumer\u2019s studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The approach is part of a broader shift in contemporary perfumery, where loyalty to a single fragrance is giving ground to the logic of an olfactory wardrobe.
