At the crossroads of Rue Vieille du Temple and Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, where Sandro began, the house reopens its first boutique with a new identity. Created by HAOS with Atelier Franck Durand, the concept does not seek to impress; it creates silence around the collections, in two spaces of 130 and 90 square metres for women and men respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An architecture that refuses display<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For HAOS, founded in 2017 by Sophie Gelinet and C\u00e9dric Gepner and named by Architectural Digest among the hundred most influential creatives since 2020, the project rests on a precise equation: balance between simplicity, functionality and quiet emotion. The collections sit in a system of niches closer to a dressing room than a conventional retail device. It translates a Parisian idea of elegance based on restraint rather than ostentation. Shaker interiors, Brutalist architecture, traditional Japanese furniture, and the work of Hans van der Laan and John Pawson all inform this minimal discipline, where every proportion matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three materials designed to age<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The concept uses a deliberately narrow palette: steel, solid oak and stone, between render and lacquer. Steel is omnipresent, with visible assemblies and unapologetic welds, far from a smooth finish. Extensive prototyping allowed HAOS to recreate, at the scale of a multi-store rollout, qualities usually linked to craft: the presence of the hand, controlled imperfections and materials that acquire patina over time. The aesthetic demand is paired with more responsible choices, from low-impact paint to certified wood from sustainable sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A domestic light, objects with a story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rather than uniform lighting, the boutique makes its light sources visible: exposed spotlights, HAOS lamps in wood and Japanese paper, and Polish vintage pieces from the 1970s. The accumulation creates an almost domestic depth, reinforced by objects chosen for their discreet presence rather than spectacle: a seventeenth-century Portuguese chestnut bench kept in its patinated state, and a mid-century Italian figurine inspired by the Thinker of Hamangia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 1984, Sandro has developed around the idea of a modern Parisian wardrobe, led by Evelyne Chetrite and extended to menswear by her son Ilan from 2008. The brand now has more than 750 points of sale worldwide. By returning to its original address, the house does more than renovate a shop: it proposes what accessible luxury might become when it chooses restraint over display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
