The answer probably lies neither in fear nor in enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n

It lies in the very nature of what creates value.<\/p>\n\n

The Abundance of Execution<\/h2>\n\n

For two centuries, the job market has heavily rewarded one ability: production.<\/p>\n\n

It lies in selection.<\/p>\n\n

A studio may produce hundreds of sketches.<\/p>\n\n

Only one will become a finished piece.<\/p>\n\n

Luxury has always been an economy of selection.<\/p>\n\n

Artificial intelligence specifically accelerates this logic.<\/p>\n\n

In the future, competitive advantage will no longer lie in the ability to produce more content, more concepts, or more images.<\/p>\n\n

It will lie in the ability to choose better.<\/p>\n\n

What the models struggle to understand<\/h2>\n\n

One of the demonstrations presented during this talk focused on the user experience.<\/p>\n\n

A mobility platform was looking to improve interactions between passengers and drivers with hearing impairments.<\/p>\n\n

Automated systems were able to accurately identify friction points along the journey.<\/p>\n\n

Their natural instinct was to eliminate them.<\/p>\n\n

However, some of these moments of interruption served an essential purpose: to create a human connection.<\/p>\n\n

The machine optimizes.<\/p>\n\n

Humans interpret.<\/p>\n\n

The difference may seem slight.<\/p>\n\n

Yet it is significant.<\/p>\n\n

In the world of luxury, this logic is everywhere.<\/p>\n\n

The anticipation before a fine jewelry presentation.<\/p>\n\n

The ritual of a fitting.<\/p>\n\n

The time spent recounting the creation of a piece.<\/p>\n\n

The apparent slowness of certain experiences.<\/p>\n\n

All of these frictions would likely be deemed inefficient by a system designed to maximize speed.<\/p>\n\n

Yet they are at the heart of desirability.<\/p>\n\n

The shortcut isn\u2019t always the best path.<\/p>\n\n

Creativity is not the same as generation<\/h2>\n\n

The other confusion of our time concerns creation itself.<\/p>\n\n

Because artificial intelligence produces a novel image, many conclude that it is creative.<\/p>\n\n

Yet novelty and creativity are not synonymous.<\/p>\n\n

Generative models work by observing the past.<\/p>\n\n

The true impact of artificial intelligence may ultimately be cultural rather than technological.<\/p>\n\n

Today, information is everywhere.<\/p>\n\n

Tomorrow, what will be scarce is the attention needed to make sense of it.<\/p>\n\n

In a world where machines instantly produce text, images, and analyses, value will shift toward those who know how to exercise judgment.<\/p>\n\n

Observe for longer.<\/p>\n\n

Compare multiple perspectives.<\/p>\n\n

Recognize an error.<\/p>\n\n

Detect a weak signal.<\/p>\n\n

Reject a solution simply because it\u2019s easy.<\/p>\n\n

The future will likely not belong to those who work against artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n

Nor to those who delegate everything to it.<\/p>\n\n

It will belong to those who know how to harness its power without giving up their ability to think.<\/p>\n\n

For models analyze the past with remarkable efficiency.<\/p>\n\n

But the future remains uncharted territory.<\/p>\n\n
