LES ARUMS DE LAGRANGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Historically, many of the M\u00e9doc’s ch\u00e2teaux produced a white wine mainly for their own consumption or for local receptions.<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Lagrange belonged to this group until the early 60s. With the 1996 vintage, it was decided to revive the tradition and launch a dry white AOC Bordeaux wine called “Les Arums de Lagrange”. <\/p>\n

Covering 11 hectares in the communes of Cussac Fort M\u00e9doc and Saint Laurent de M\u00e9doc, this vineyard of white vines is situated on two distinct terroirs of gravelly sand and calcareous clay, producing an elegant, delicate wine with well-proportioned body and no excessive acidity.<\/p>\n

THE 2019 MILLESIME<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like 2018, 2019 will be remembered as a vintage of contrasts. A wet, cold spring followed by a hot, dry summer with record sunshine! These climatic conditions impacted berry weight and concentrated the grapes to the detriment of quantity. With a yield of just under 25 hl\/ha, this was the smallest harvest ever recorded on the estate. Harvesting took place in glorious sunshine, but the nights remained cool. <\/p>\n

Once again, the terroirs of Ch\u00e2teau Lagrange have been instrumental in maintaining the freshness needed to produce Arums de Lagrange.<\/p>\n\n
