Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es is the only fair to present 4 distinct sections, each under an ephemeral pavilion set up along the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es avenue. It thus offers an exceptional range of French and foreign galleries exhibiting a remarkable selection of artists and responding to market expectations. Each year, the fair renews a coherent dialogue between modern art, contemporary art and design. In this way, the great art-historical landmarks of the 20th century coexist with contemporary artists who are constantly evolving. PAVILLONS, A SYNERGY OF SKILLS<\/p>\n
Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es benefits from an exceptional dynamic: the fair now comprises four pavilions housing four distinct sections: modern art, contemporary art, urban art and design. For this 11th edition, the urban art section will still be housed in the 8th Avenue pavilion, but will be integrated into the Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es fair in the same way as the other sections. From the Place de la Concorde to the Place Clemenceau, the four pavilions follow one another in a linear fashion, a clear and pleasant route for visitors. The design section, on the Grand Palais side, is a veritable showcase for some fifteen galleries showcasing furniture from the 20th and 21st centuries. Scandinavian furniture, sublime interiors where the great names of French, Italian and Nordic design cohabit. In 2016, the organizers opened up to contemporary design with the presence of VIA, and this year the fair is delighted to welcome Atelier Jespers and Carr\u00e9 Rive Gauche. This year, design is more in tune with the times, offering the public a wider choice. <\/p>\n
THE VISION OF ART \u00c9LYS\u00c9ES-ART & DESIGN: A TIMELESS JOURNEY OF RENEWAL<\/p>\n
Now in its eleventh year, the fair offers a selection of galleries exhibiting high-quality works. A place of exchange where visitors can meet artists, museums, foundations, cultural institutions… Since its inception, the fair has welcomed new exhibitions in its pavilions, both from institutions and private collections. Seven years ago, the organizers created a third pavilion dedicated to twentieth-century design. Four years later, the 8th Avenue fair, dedicated to contemporary art, was launched. It was the first fair to offer a section for urban art galleries, now integrated as the 4th pavilion of Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es. From paintings by the great masters to illustrations by emerging artists. Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es also features a selection of furniture from the 20th century to design from the young contemporary scene. Often relegated to street art, the organizers have chosen to place urban art in the same category as the other artistic trends presented. There’s something here for everyone, from the discerning collector to the novice art lover or buyer.<\/p>\n
For this 11th edition, the organizers have set up a number of events within the fair, including an original exhibition by artist Fred Kleinberg: “Odyss\u00e9e”, in the art section (pavilion A). In the design section (pavilion C), the public can discover two exhibitions: rare pieces by Belgian designers presented by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Declercq, founder of the Brussels art center Atelier Jespers. The second exhibition showcases objects from the private collection of Jean-Bernard Hebey; media man, radio producer and TV program creator, but also owner of the world’s largest collection of industrial design, already presented at the – Mus\u00e9e des ann\u00e9es 30 during the “Esth\u00e9tique M\u00e9diatique” exhibition. Art \u00c9lys\u00e9es and ArtsHebdoMedias magazine invite you to discover Mobile Art in the 8th Avenue pavilion. Augmented paintings, app-based works, artistic QR codes… a whole new space for contemporary creation. The founder of ArtsHebdoM\u00e9dias transforms herself for the occasion into curator and mediator for this original exhibition. <\/p>\n
