Sunday April 9 saw the 28th edition of Toques et Clochers, which this year attracted over 700 buyers from all over the world. 89 barrels were sold at the famous auction hosted by Toulouse auctioneer Ma\u00eetre R\u00e9my Fourni\u00e9 and Aymeric de Clouet, wine expert and expert to the Paris Court of Appeal. <\/h5>\n
This 2017 edition took place in the small village of C\u00e9pie, which attracted over 40,000 visitors on Saturday April 8, the day before the auction! Throughout the day, conquered visitors were able to discover the Toques & Clochers cellars and taste their famous Limoux… not forgetting the traditional grand procession of Toques & Clochers winemakers, a sizeable and certainly spectacular event. <\/h5>\n
This year, the counters broke all records for the famous sale, which raised \u20ac521,400 (\u20ac445,800 in 2016)!
\nHalf of the prestigious lots were acquired by foreign buyers, proof of Limoux’s international reputation.<\/h5>\n
The 2017 edition was sponsored this year by Dominique Loiseau and Patrick Bertron, chef at Relais Bernard Loiseau, who took up the challenge of creating an exceptional menu for over 450 guests. He will be the 28th chef to put the finishing touches to this exceptional event. Lyonel Leconte, France’s Best Sommelier
