To celebrate 60 years of gourmet union… the most illustrious of tarts creates an event on July 10.<\/p>\n

Don’t you think a diamond wedding is worth celebrating? Join us in the lanes of Saint-Tropez for a delicious and generous day, just like the famous cream of La Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne. Holidaymakers and Tropezians alike are invited to take a trip back in time to relive the
\nsaga of the famous patisserie.
\n\"Ambiance-baby-trop-praline\"<\/a>
\nOn D-Day, a stroll through 6 scenographic stages, like so many nods to past decades, will enable you to relive the brand’s great hours. Mobile pop-up stores (scooters, foodtrucks, vintage vehicles, etc.) will be set up in symbolic locations in the village: Place de la Mairie, the Port, the Ponche, etc.
\nGuided by a fun map, visitors will be able to move from point to point, going back in time or travelling through the years. They’ll be invited to discover the various devices, some of which are participatory, using or hijacking the codes and eras traversed. The last stage (2005 to the present day), for example, will feature young artists (designers, illustrators, etc.) looking at this gourmet icon.
\nOf course, a “general tour” of Tartes Trop\u00e9ziennes will be available for tasting at each location. In advance (until June 15), 3 photo booths will be set up in the brand’s 3 “flagship” sales outlets. Foodistas are invited to take part in an “Eat me Baby” competition for the most beautiful gourmet selfie with our Baby Trop’. A giant picture curtain will be set up in front of the Place des
\nLices store, displaying the lucky faces. The winners will then receive a selection of very “do you?” gifts (2 5-star weekends for 2 people in Saint-Tropez at the H\u00f4tel La Tartane St-Amour and the H\u00f4tel Villa Marie, an Olympie bracelet by Andr\u00e9 Gas, a pair of made-to-measure tropeziennes by Atelier Rondini, a hat created exclusively by Van Palma, lunch for 2 people at La Plage Tropicana in Pampelonne and numerous Baby Trop’ gift sets…).

\nAt the end of the day, the curtain will open to reveal the brand new setting that La Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne has created for the occasion, with its unique roof terrace and breathtaking view over the Place des Lices. The Place des Lices, rightly reinvented in the colors of La Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne, will become “La Place des (d\u00e9)lices”, and our famous boulistes will be able to play for a few days in an ephemeral and original setting. Regulars, Proven\u00e7al professionals and VIPs are all expected to attend the famous Challenge de La Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne, a not-to-be-missed event under the shade of the plane trees. \nLa Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne 1955 has just been published by Editions de la Martini\u00e8re. Saint-Tropez
\nInvented in 1955 by Alexandre Micka, it was Brigitte Bardot who gave this cake its name. Visiting Saint-Tropez for the filming of Et Dieu cr\u00e9a la Femme, she fell in love with this creamy sweet, and suggested the idea of calling it “La Tarte de
\nSaint-Tropez”. In the end, it became La Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne. To mark its 60th anniversary, Editions de La Martini\u00e8re is publishing a book to celebrate this milestone and celebrate this pastry in all its forms.
\nThis new book offers 15 key recipes for the Tarte Trop\u00e9zienne, based on the products and flavours used. 12 chefs are also taking part in the celebration, revealing their interpretations of this cake: Arnaud Donckele, Marc Veyrat, Yannick All\u00e9no, Sadaharu Aoki, Fran\u00e7ois Perret, Arnaud Larher, Beno\u00eet Castel, Christophe Michalak, Oph\u00e9lie Bares, Damien Piscioneri, Vincent Guerlais and S\u00e9bastien Gaudard.
