Comic book fans have always been passionate about big action movies. So when Sylvester Stallone (Judge Dredd) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator, Conan) came to present “Evasion” at the last Comic-Con, they were understandably delighted. The film, which truly reunites the two stars, is now available on DVD (M6 vid\u00e9o). Sly plays Ray Breslin, an expert who tests the effectiveness of prisons by getting locked up and then trying to escape. This time, however, he finds himself trapped in a high-tech, high-security facility. An alliance with inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnold!) is essential if he is to escape as quickly as possible. <\/div>\n
Thanks to an exceptional cast (including the supporting cast), a highly original script and impeccable direction, “Evasion” lives up to all its promises.<\/div>\n
A masterly film to keep in your DVD library.<\/div>\n

At the same time, don’t miss “Captain America The Winter Soldier”, a feature film that manages to be at least as exciting as the comic-book that inspired it. A real success, thanks to an impeccable cast, a gripping script and convincing direction. <\/div>\n

On the comics front, Urban Comics’ Batman volume 3 (“Le Deuil de la Famille”) by Snyder and Capullo is already a classic. The Joker (whose superb anthology is now available) is more terrifying than ever, and now decides to take an interest in Alfred… A terrifying and exciting story (in bookshops). Also on newsstands, don’t miss the monthly “Superman Saga”, with 4 new comics in the great tradition of the genre and legendary artists (Jim Lee, Scott Snyder, Scott Lobdell…), as well as “JLA Saga” and the return of Shazam. <\/div>\n
And Tarantino fans shouldn’t miss the comic book adaptation of “Django Unchained” by the director himself and a trio of talented artists. On the program: never-before-seen chapters missing from the full-length film – a real treat! <\/div>\n

Delcourt’s “Midnight Nation” (re)discovers this unusual comic-book originally published in the 2000s. The main character in this creation by JM Straczynski and Gary Frank is not a superhero, but a Los Angeles cop killed in the line of duty, who finds himself on a strange plane of existence, between life and death. A surprising and intriguing comic-book, available in unabridged version. Meanwhile, the first volume of “Clone” by David Schulner and Juan Jos\u00e9 Ryp and “The Crow Midnight Legends” are now available. <\/div>\n

On the Marvel side, the “Daredevil End of Days” saga (Panini) lifts the veil on DD’s latest adventure, an out-of-continuity curiosity by Bendis-Maleev-Janson, a magical trio at the helm of an ultra-violent tale. Finally, France is lucky enough to host two exceptional exhibitions: one devoted to Alex Ross, famous for his superb photorealistic gouaches of superheroes (Mona Bismarck American Center), and of course “Star Wars Identities”, a memorable interactive experience, as well as an opportunity to discover an impressive collection of costumes, models, accessories and drawings (Cit\u00e9 du Cin\u00e9ma). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
