Christian Dior traveled to the United States as early as 1947; one of the destinations on this odyssey was \n Texas<\/em>\n<\/strong>with its extraordinary landscapes. <\/p>\n\n

Inspired by the powerful connections between Dior’s history and this American state, Kim Jones links past and present<\/strong><\/em>by collaborating with Texas-born rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer Travis Scott<\/strong>. Reflecting the House’s savoir-faire, the Tailoring<\/strong><\/em> structures the collection; the slanted tailoring<\/em> adds a formal touch contrasting with the sportswear elements. Travis Scott reinvents the Dior logo <\/strong><\/em>logo in a series of graphics<\/em>, while accessories feature the revisited Dior oblique motif<\/em>. The Saddle bag<\/em> is also reinterpreted with a solid stirrup handle, while a new Dior sneaker evokes the world of skateboarding. Exploring the United States through Dior’s vision takes us back to the fine arts: in a series of works, Kim Jones, Travis Scott and the House of Dior team up with American artist George Condo <\/em><\/strong>who designs hand-painted shirts<\/em>. A virtuoso alliance of creative visions. <\/p>\n\n
