A graceful insect, the dragonfly evokes freedom, transparency and light. It’s this lovely symbol that Jean Luc Dumoutier has chosen to illustrate the label of one of his white bandols. <\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A delicate, airy wine, but at the same time persistent on the palate thanks to a blend of clairette (80%), ugni blanc (15%) and sauvignon. Bandol is a “small” terroir in the geographical sense of the word. But in this privileged corner of the world, nature offers winemakers a rare combination of sunshine, stony soil and gentle sea breezes, enabling them to create wines with a distinctive character. <\/h5>\n
Domaine de L’Olivette covers 55 hectares in the Bandol appellation, mainly in the Castellet area, with a few plots in the communes of Le Beausset and Saint Cyr. From terraced hillside to terraced hillside, it descends from the hills towards the Mediterranean: 350 m for the highest plots overlooking the sea and the Bec de l’Aigle, 100 m for the lowest. A wooded amphitheater protects the vineyards from the harsh climate. <\/h5>\n

It lies on two geological zones, distinct in age and microclimate, but built on the same predominantly clay-limestone bedrock, characteristic of the Bandol terroir.
\nVines are grown in the most traditional way possible, with respect for the environment: reasoned interventions on the biological fertility of the soil, natural soil improvers, no chemical weedkillers, no pesticides.<\/h5>\n
Tasting notes include white flower and citrus aromas. Full-bodied, nervous and round on the palate. Good persistence. <\/h5>\n
