The decor has remained (almost) unchanged. A moleskin banquette and a weathered old counter. We’re in a bistro like many in the neighborhood. The real change is on the plate. It was initiated by a man. Since his arrival in April 2013, 32-year-old Quentin Domange has been offering a new take on traditional cuisine, in the spirit of what the Bistro Urbain has stood for since its creation: respect for seasonal produce, exchanges with producers in the pursuit of greater freshness and quality, and of course a constant concern for “fair prices”, for lunch and dinner. <\/h5>\n

\nA short menu, but with fresh, seasonal produce that changes regularly. A fine selection of wines is on offer.
\nFor starters, I begin with a carpaccio of porcini mushrooms with hazelnuts. A fine starter. <\/h5>\n

I follow with an exquisite fillet of beef, perhaps a little too peppery. It is accompanied by melting potatoes. <\/h5>\n

For dessert, the hazelnut puff pastry is as good as the clafoutis.<\/h5>\n

The neighborhood has changed a lot in recent months. Le Bistrot Urbain has added its own refreshing cuisine to the mix. <\/h5>\n
