The Cerruti 1881 Paris collection is the story of an exceptional journey: from Palm Springs to Los Angeles, leaving the main road behind. The landscape guides our desires and passions, and we abandon the laws of time and space to give way to the feeling of freedom that will lead us to our destination. <\/p>\n
Aldo Maria Camillo sketches the silhouette of a man capable of combining rigor and suppleness, discipline and indolence. His collection is imbued with sensuality, fluidity and subtlety.
\nRefined casualness, a hallmark of the House, is explored from new angles, contemporary and timeless at the same time. Redefined by the ample volumes created by overcoats, the silhouette is sometimes airy, sometimes athletic. Bombers and parkas mix different materials, soft pants tighten at the bottom and formal suits simplify and lighten. Long shirts glide over the body without ever constraining it, and jackets lose their sleeves, evoking an absolute nonchalance that highlights the shoulders. <\/p>\n
The surfer meets the city dweller, while silk and voile scarf prints are inlaid on patchwork shirts with a very bohemian eclecticism. Hybrid shoes and utilitarian sandals complete the search for naturalness. <\/p>\n
The materials are innovative, the fruit of extensive research: mohair, wool gauze and tartan are blended and Lanificio Cerruti’s archive fabrics are reinterpreted. Wool, viscose, silk, cotton muslin and ultralight nylon, all at once dense and airy, retain a classic soul. <\/p>\n
The natural colors of sand, tobacco and wood reveal pop touches of lemon, red, electric blue and orange. As always in the Cerruti universe, gray, the color of asphalt, upsets clothing codes. <\/p>\n
The freedom to be yourself, which is first and foremost an attitude, makes you strong enough to face a journey, even when you don’t know the final destination. And it’s this sentiment that shines through in Cerruti 1881’s Spring Summer 2015 collection. <\/p>\n\n\t\t
