At the start of this summer, Le Meurice is delighted to announce its 180th anniversary and the launch of festivities over the coming months to pay tribute to its history and heritage.<\/p>\n

There are places that speak to our cultural heritage and values.
\nLe Meurice is one of them. Facing the Jardin des Tuileries, between the Place de la Concorde and the Louvre Museum, Le Meurice has been at the heart of Paris since 1835. <\/p>\n

Faithful to its values and an integral part of French culture, Le Meurice, through the ages, has inscribed its history as a foundation in the History of France and the History of Art.
\nMany artists have left their mark on the history of Le Meurice: Honor\u00e9 de Balzac, Edmond Rostand, Salvador Dal\u00ed, Coco Chanel, Guillaume Apollinaire, Jean Cocteau, Marcel Aym\u00e9, Andr\u00e9 Gide, Ernest Hemingway, Andy Warhol, Liza Minelli, Bob Dylan, and many others…
\nAll have shaped the history of these walls, one day, one night, whose cultural value is part of our common heritage and a certain expression of the French genius of the art of living around the world. On the occasion of this 180th anniversary, we’d like to return to the very essence of Le Meurice’s identity and values: an unconditional love of Art, a timeless source of inspiration that helps humanity build a better world. <\/p>\n

It’s in this spirit that, from the start of the new school year, various events will punctuate the life of Le Meurice in all its splendor.
\nThis 180th anniversary is also an opportunity to reaffirm Le Meurice’s place as a champion of culture.
