The interior <\/span>Molitor’s interior architecture is conceived as a journey through time, from its birth in the thirties <\/span>to the <\/span>project <\/span>of today<\/span>. Its initial Art Deco character, its “Street Art” period and the current architectural modernity that transcends the place are the major stages of this journey. <\/span><\/p>\n

Between its creation and its rebirth <\/span>today, <\/span>Molitor was marked by a period of closure <\/span>of <\/span>twenty <\/span>years<\/span>. <\/span>It was <\/span>when this already mythical site became a world-famous “Street Art spot”.
\nWe could also mention the fashion shows of the <\/span>post<\/span>-In any case, for much of the 20th century, the Molitor swimming pool remained a landmark of Parisian life. <\/span> <\/p>\n

Depending on the project space (lobby, gourmet restaurant, rooms, spa and sports facilities and private rooms), an artistic expression emerges, always in a balanced dialogue with <\/span>other <\/span>references. <\/span>This polymorphous <\/span>from this polymorphous character is born an original and specific identity. <\/span> <\/p>\n

From a <\/span>In chronological order, the “thirties” heritage spaces to be preserved were the starting point for the decoration. The color of <\/span>architecture <\/span>architecture, the preservation <\/span>of a <\/span>historic ceiling in <\/span>restaurant <\/span>restaurant area, as well as the renovation of the <\/span>entrance <\/span>of the fitness center. <\/span> <\/p>\n

In all cases, these elements have been <\/span>undergone <\/span>renovation <\/span>identical <\/span>but the new spaces created <\/span>have <\/span>to mimic these historic elements, which have no functional or structural legitimacy. <\/span> <\/p>\n

If the project is conceived as a walk through time, it is also a walk through a place rich in <\/span>of spaces <\/span>The pools, walkways, spa, gyms, private rooms and gourmet restaurant are often atypical spaces that make Molitor unique. <\/span> <\/p>\n

On a corner of the <\/span>summer <\/span>(outdoor pool), the lobby <\/span>opens <\/span>in a triangle towards the <\/span>heart <\/span> of the project. In <\/span>the <\/span>of <\/span>axis, <\/span> the famous Rolls Royce tagged by John Wayne echoes the building’s Street Art period. Like the ceiling, which is deliberately left exposed, this iconic car is a natural extension of the building. <\/span>urbanity <\/span>of the project anchored in the city.
\nThe “in progress”, street art and urban character contrasts with more precious elements: the desks evoke small pill boxes from the thirties, curtains structure the <\/span>the space <\/span>and bring a sense of fragility to a more urban environment, while mirrored partial false ceilings play with the technical elements while multiplying John Wayne’s Rolls Royce. <\/span> <\/p>\n

In a further contrast of preciousness, the back office and luggage area are set off like precious objects with a mirror-polished stainless steel finish. In the lounge areas, made-to-measure carpets introduce the exterior chromatic range. <\/span>ochre <\/span>yellow.
\nThe furniture is a mix of contemporary pieces and vintage items sourced specifically for the project. <\/span> <\/p>\n

The restaurant, with its authentically restored 1930s ceiling <\/span>ceiling <\/span>is conceived as a space in reconversion: a historic place becoming a gallery <\/span>gallery, <\/span>an ephemeral restaurant featuring large-format photographs by Thomas Jorion: close-ups of tags photographed before the demolition. <\/span> <\/p>\n

The zoomed-in tag becomes a contemporary, abstract painting, in the same graphic approach, dialoguing with the historic stained-glass windows by master stained-glass artists Damon and Turlan. <\/span><\/p>\n

A wide range of furnishings <\/span>organized <\/span>in an informal manner <\/span>spirit <\/span>nomadic spirit. <\/span> <\/p>\n

Circulations continue the journey <\/span>history <\/span>of Molitor through <\/span>through <\/span>iconographic research: numerous black-and-white photos illustrate major events and the <\/span>atmosphere <\/span>of the pool. <\/span> <\/p>\n

On the third floor, the photos spread across the ceiling like a narrative fresco that can be seen from <\/span>from outside <\/span>through the transparency of the all-glass facade. <\/span> <\/p>\n

The world <\/span>of the bedroom <\/span>is deliberately <\/span>deliberately in a very light range, only enhanced by a <\/span>work of art <\/span>evocative of Molitor.

An armchair was specially designed for the project, its curved wooden structure evoking furniture from the 1940s, but also the work of lutherie, a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional craftsmanship. <\/span><\/p>\n

The spa and fitness rooms are large spaces spread over two levels.
\nThey combine a contemporary, uncluttered design with a contrasting set of “scenettes” that punctuate the discovery of the space. <\/span>space<\/span>. <\/span> <\/p>\n

These decorated and staged “scenettes” echo the aestheticism <\/span>original aesthetic <\/span>while characterizing the living spaces, they introduce a historical and highly personal counterpoint, particularly through the <\/span>through the use of <\/span>ranging from pieces of furniture <\/span>antique <\/span>from pieces of furniture to antique equipment, as well as genuine <\/span>architectural <\/span>(metal and glass screen) that are reintroduced into the <\/span>furnishings<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
