A few days before the tragedy, his last two fashion shows sounded like premonitory signs&#8230; With an interview with Santo Versace, CEO of the Versace Group. In July 1997, Fashion Weeks (Men&#8217;s and Haute Couture) went ahead as normal. For the men&#8217;s collections, Gianni Versace called on choreographer Maurice B\u00e9jard, whose theme was a man killed by a woman, played for the occasion by Naomi Campbell. A few days later, for his Fall\/Winter 1997\/98 Couture show, the Italian designer used Byzantine crosses and dark tones as his main theme. This was to be his last collection. July 15, 1997: Gianni Versace is murdered in his villa in Miami, Florida.
