Hennessy unveils the limited edition Hennessy Very Special 2017, created by street artist<\/em> JonOne. Launched this summer in the United States, the revisited bottle will be available in nearly 50 countries and will arrive in France in September. <\/p>\n

The Hennessy Very Special limited edition, reinterpreted by Joneone in vibrant, graphic colors, is the latest in a series of limited editions by artists from around the world, including Scott Campbell, Ryan McGinness, Shepard Fairey, Os Gemeos and Futura.<\/p>\n

Constantly on the move between Paris, where JoneOne has his studio, Harlem, his hometown, and the avant-garde art scenes around the world, the artist, now an important figure in street art, has always remained true to himself. For JonOne, “art is a vector, a motor”. <\/p>\n

From JoneOne’s first visit in 2016, to Hennessy’s historic headquarters in Cognac, the artist’s creative vision was immediately attuned to the place, its atmosphere and its history.<\/p>\n

Master Blender Yann Fillioux introduced JonOne to the full complexity of cognac. “When I met Mr. Fillioux, I really felt his passion and commitment,” confides the artist. “Having discovered people at Hennessy who are so driven by their craft really resonates with my approach. For them, as for me, it’s not just a job.” The common quest for excellence is also shared: it is both at the heart of the cognac-making process and central to the artist’s concerns. <\/p>\n

With the energy that defines his style, JonOne drew “splash” after “splash”, vivid traces of color intertwined with symbols specific to the Maison Hennessy. His work echoes the complex superimpositions of notes and aromas created by the master blender during the blending process. One label features the artist’s signature “tag”. The resulting packaging captures the artist’s vision, as well as that of the House. <\/p>\n

This design appears on the 70 cl bottle of the Hennessy Very Special JoneOne limited edition and its boxed set, as well as on the 150 cl edition. The latter, in particular, comes in a paint pot, echoing the painter’s world, his studio and his way of working. <\/p>\n

The limited edition will also be available from September at selected wine merchants.
