The general public will finally be able to discover all its secrets&#8230; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.derbyhotels.com\/fr\/hotels-3\/hotels-a-paris-1\/\">The 5* H\u00f4tel Banke<\/a>, a boutique hotel owned by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.derbyhotels.com\/fr\/\">Derby Hotels Collection<\/a> (DHC), sits majestically on the corner of Rue Pillet-Will and Rue La Fayette, a stone&#8217;s throw from the Grands Magasins, in Paris&#8217;s 9th arrondissement. It inaugurates the official opening of its vault to the general public, following approval by the Prefecture. <\/p>\n<p>Since its creation in 2009, this room, hidden from view and sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city, has retained an air of mystery. To comply with safety and public access regulations, extensive renovation work was carried out in 2016 and 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Completely upgraded, it now welcomes individuals and companies for all types of events: private parties and receptions, exhibitions, corporate presentations&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;  <em>We are delighted to open our Salle des Coffres to the public, after many months of renovation. In so doing, we are affirming our place as part of Paris&#8217;s historic heritage. These notions of heritage and history are of paramount importance to us: the love of Art and History drives our group, presided over by Jordi Clos, Egyptologist and archaeologist.  <\/em> <em>which generously makes its private collections available to the public <\/em>,&#8221; <strong>explains J\u00e9r\u00f4me Bourdais, General Manager of the 5* H\u00f4tel Banke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The vault, the jewel in the crown of a historic building<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Formerly the headquarters of Banque Suisse et Fran\u00e7aise, the building was completely refurbished by the DHC Group in 2009, to create H\u00f4tel Banke. This was one of the first buildings to be constructed on rue Pillet-Will, in the early 20th century. Designed in the Haussmannian style by architects Paul Fries\u00e9 and Cassien Bernard, it is distinguished by its majestic staircase. It is distinguished by its majestic exterior fa\u00e7ade.   <\/p>\n<p>The hotel has preserved many vestiges of its headquarters. The bank&#8217;s old counters are still visible, as is the mosaic, restored as soon as the hotel opened. Its wrought-iron gates flanked by medallions bearing the bank&#8217;s effigy, its wrought-iron railings on the second floor, its original parquet flooring and its private elevator, once used by the establishment&#8217;s executives, all bear witness to its glorious past. Its sumptuous cupola dominating the hotel lobby and the reinforced glass staircase designed by Gustave Eiffel&#8217;s pupils also contribute to its splendor. Like all DHC Group hotels, Hotel Banke houses part of the private art and archaeology collection of Group Chairman Jordi Clos. Ethnic jewels from all over the world are displayed in showcases on every floor, with free access for visitors.     <\/p>\n<p>The jewel among jewels, the Salle des Coffres needed to be brought up to standard, so that it could welcome the public on a grand scale. This has now been achieved, following several months&#8217; work, crowned by approval from the Pr\u00e9fecture de Paris.
