Clos Saint-Vincent is a beautiful 17-hectare estate at the foot of the village of Saint-Emilion, in the heart of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. The vineyard is planted on gravelly-siliceous soil, typical of the best crus of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. A vein of Graves runs through it, giving the wine silky tannins. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon play off each other on this harmonious terroir. <\/h4>\n

The estate is subject to a careful selection of parcels. Some vines are over 60 years old. A heritage that the estate team is determined to preserve and enhance. Precision and purity are the watchwords behind the delicacy of these expressive wines. <\/h5>\n
The 2013 vintage was marked by complicated weather conditions, which required increased monitoring of vineyard health at the start of the campaign. The harvest, which was entirely manual, took place from September 28 to October 3. After meticulous sorting, the berries are cold-macerated before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wines are then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A third of the barrels are renewed each year. <\/h5>\n
Clos Saint-Vincent 2013 is a blend of 92% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. This cuv\u00e9e has a medium-intensity ruby-purple color. On aeration, the wine gives off notes of red and black fruit, with a delicate licorice finish. On the palate, the attack is fruity and very fresh, with velvety tannins and expressive fruit. A greedy, fruity style to be enjoyed young or after a few years in the cellar. \uf0d8 Clos Saint-Vincent 2013 was awarded the Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2016. <\/h5>\n
