Inspired by Tissot’s rich watchmaking tradition, yet resolutely forward-looking, the Tissot Le Locle R\u00e9gulateur belongs to the Le Locle watch collection, named in honor of Tissot’s birthplace in the Swiss Jura mountains. Its design, thought out down to the smallest detail, such as the large minute hand, is irresistibly reminiscent of the original R\u00e9gulateur, a clock that was used in workshops in the 18th<\/sup> and 19th<\/sup> centuries as a reference clock to test the precision of pocket watches. Back then, precision standards were far from today’s practice. Differences in accuracy were measured in minutes rather than seconds. Adjustments were therefore made to the nearest minute.
