The Tissot Heritage 1936 is a reinterpretation of a timepiece produced by Tissot in the same year. Although inspired by a model from the 1930s – when wristwatches began to dominate the market – this version also pays homage to the very first wristwatches in history. It was under the influence of the First World War that men, for practical reasons, switched from gusset watches to wristwatches. To make the latter, watchmakers would start with a gusset watch and weld arches on each side of the case to slide a leather strap against the back. The result was a wristwatch, and this is exactly how the Tissot Heritage 1936 was designed. <\/p>\n\n\t\t
